Monica Brooks started ministry in her early years by attending New Christian Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore, under the leadership of Pastor Walter Scott Brunson, where she received Christ and was baptized by water at the age of 12. At the age of 14 Monica left the church and strayed away from the Lord for several years, but God still had mercy on her life and allowed her to return to him in September of 1998. She joined Morning Star Baptist Church of Catonsville, MD under the leadership of Bishop Dwayne C. Debnam. It was here at Morning Star where Monica was baptized with the Holy Spirit and received her gifts and callings, through the teachings, intercessory prayer ministry, discipleship ministry, & financial stewardship ministry.
Monica developed as a disciple while studying for three years then graduated from Morning Star discipleship school in 2002. She went on to study Systematic Theology & Catechism from House of Judah School of Ministry, and graduated in 2004. She also formed and lead a praise and worship dance ministry at this branch of Zion, worked at the churches daycare, and participated in the Intercessor Prayer Ministry for 7 years. It was at this church that Monica began to hear the Lord speak to her through dreams and visions, and other occurrences about His desire for her in ministry.
As Monica grew in the Lord and began to move closer to her calling in Christ she joined the House of Judah Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Dyett Jr., in August of 2005. It was at this fine branch of Zion that Monica preached her first sermon, taught her first year of discipleship students, formed and lead the Praise dance ministry and was the administrative support person for the church for over a year. Monica preached her first sermon and the Discipleship graduation in 2007. Monica Brooks was ordained for ministry in 2007 and founded the Out of Four Walls Church & Ministries in September 2007 until 2013 when she begin to make her transition to New York. Monica has studied and participated in extensive leadership programs and was certified as a Ministerial leader in 2009, received her call to the Apostleship in 2014, and is still leading people to Christ through various avenues of social media, outreach prayer lines, witnessing, and new ministry endeavors.
Monica Brooks served as a Supportive Minister to New Life Ministries in New York for one year with Pastor Gerald Silacio. She led the Intercessory Prayer ministry there. Monica is now founder of a new ministry in New York, Altars of Fire & Deliverance International Ministry. As the Lord continues to lead her to lead others to Christ, through teaching the Word of God and Prayer, by way of the Gifts and Guidance of the Holy Spirit. She has lead and participated in intercessory prayer groups since 2001. Apostle Brooks believes strongly in her Pastor/Apostolic calling and functions in those ministries through prayer, deliverance, teaching and preaching the word of God in truth. Monica Brooks takes seriously the charge God has given her in:
Ezekiel 3:18 18 When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. To God Be The Glory!
